Job Summary

This role involves providing clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high-quality, efficient care in a high-acuity environment. The successful candidate will assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate the care of Progressive Care Unit patients, instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions, maintain and review patients' records, and administer medications in accordance with physician orders.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and prioritize patient needs, developing individualized plans to promote optimal outcomes
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, ensuring seamless transitions and effective communication
  • Instruct patients and families on medication management, treatment plans, and self-care strategies
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including test results and examination findings
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, following established protocols and guidelines
Requirements:
  • Licensure as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure
  • Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred
  • Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
