Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician to join our team at The Chautauqua Center. As a key member of our behavioral health services team, you will play a critical role in coordinating and implementing psychosocial community services under the general direction of the Behavioral Health Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and plan psychosocial programs, ensuring alignment with TCC standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement community educational programs, counseling services, and intervention methodologies.
  • Collaborate with staff members to provide program consultation and support.
  • Conduct surveys and studies to inform psychosocial services and population health patterns.
  • Provide individual, couples, family, and group psychotherapy for mental health and substance abuse disorders.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary treatment team meetings and contribute to treatment planning.
  • Conduct laboratory testing and analysis for routine drug and alcohol assessment.
  • Review and evaluate recent psychosocial health research to inform practice.
  • Perform short-term counseling and crisis intervention as needed.
  • Assist in implementing community and social programs, ensuring compliance with NHSI grants and contracts.
  • Prepare psychosocial educational materials and coordinate with clinical and health education staff.
  • Coordinate with other organizational entities involved in psychosocial and mental health services.
  • Use standardized assessments and measurement tools to inform practice and evaluation.
  • Provide in-service presentations and community service information as an outreach worker.
  • Conduct health-related educational presentations to adults and teens in school and clinical settings.
Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience in an ambulatory health center preferred.
  • NYS registration and license to practice required.
  • Self-starter with ability to manage staff and work under pressure.
  • Experience working on computers and electronic medical records.
  • Knowledgeable of HIPAA and confidentiality policy and procedures.
  • Familiarity with Hispanic culture, family customs, and childrearing practices.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not required.
  • Familiarity with multicultural groups and willingness to enroll in language and multicultural coursework if necessary.
