Ameri-Force is seeking a skilled Shipyard Welder to join our team. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for welding together metal components as specified by blueprints, work orders, or instructions from management or a supervisor.
Key Responsibilities- Operate Welding Equipment: Utilize knowledge of working characteristics of metal and non-metal materials, including the knowledge of the equipment to be used in the process.
- Set Up Parts and Assemblies: Configure machines for different steel gauges of any types.
- Conduct Measurements and Quality Checks: Maintain accurate records.
- Perform General Labor Operations: Load/unload parts, grinding, scraping, and nibbling fabrications.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 1-3 years of welding experience.
- Skills: Proficiency in various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, stick, and flux-cored welding. Ability to interpret welding blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
