About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Psychologist to join our team at MDA Edge. As a key member of our Behavioral Health Services department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality mental health care to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluation and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to diagnose mental health conditions, using the latest Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM).
  • Treatment Planning and Intervention: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, providing evidence-based interventions and modalities to address the unique needs of each client.
  • Crisis Intervention and Support: Respond to crisis situations, providing immediate support and intervention to clients in need.
  • Collaboration and Consultation: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians and other clinical professionals, to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress.
Requirements
  • Doctoral Degree in Psychology: Hold a doctoral degree in Psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA) approved program or an accredited institution.
  • Licensed Psychologist: Be a licensed psychologist in the state of Hawaii.
  • Experience and Skills: Possess experience in providing evidence-based treatment, conducting individual and group therapy, and working with clients with serious/chronic mental illness.
  • Knowledge and Certifications: Be familiar with the latest Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) and possess basic life support certification from the American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Primary Care Settings: Have experience providing behavioral health services in a primary care setting.
  • Experience with Addictions Issues: Have experience working with clients with addictions issues.
  • Experience in Consultation/Liaison Services: Have experience providing consultation/liaison services to emergency departments.
