Lead Drafter Opportunity at Lapp Millwright LLC

Lapp Millwright LLC is a faith-based, family-owned business that provides fabrication, installation, maintenance, and repairs for dust collection systems. We are seeking a skilled Lead Drafter to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a drafting team in designing 3D drawings and fabrication drawings for top-of-the-line dust collection systems
  • Collaborate with Sales and Operations to review job schedules
  • Schedule work for the team and ensure timely completion
  • Design promotional materials for products
  • Detail assembly drawings for part placement, part number, and quantity
  • Work closely with engineers and go onsite for drawings and pictures as needed
  • Research best design practices and train the team on Autodesk Inventor
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of drafting experience, with hands-on fabrication experience in shop sheet metal or structural steel preferred
  • Experience with Autodesk Inventor and Auto Cad, with general PC knowledge and Microsoft Office skills
  • Professional, positive attitude, and accountability for team actions
  • Detail-oriented, with ability to work efficiently and effectively within time constraints
  • Career-minded, with a love for learning and improving
  • Strong communication skills, with ability to motivate others and collaborate
What We Offer:
  • $70-$90K per year, depending on experience
  • Consistent 40-45 hours/week
