Position Summary:
The Quality Control Inspector III plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity of our manufactured components. This position involves conducting thorough visual and dimensional inspections of parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies, adhering to engineering specifications, customer requirements, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute visual and mechanical assessments of incoming materials, in-process items, and finished products.
- Conduct first piece inspections on machined components and perform quality analysis.
- Utilize various measuring tools, including thread gauges, micrometers, and height stands, to ensure product specifications are met.
- Compile and analyze inspection data, providing recommendations based on AQL sampling methods.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Document inspection findings and maintain accurate records in the quality database.
- Ensure all measuring equipment is calibrated and operational, adhering to safety and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Technical school diploma or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in mechanical and electronic part inspection within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in GD&T interpretation and familiar with AS9102 FAIR documentation.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with various stakeholders.
- Computer literacy, particularly with MS Office and relevant inspection software.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
Work Environment:
This position operates in both office and manufacturing settings, requiring adherence to safety protocols and quality procedures.
Physical Requirements:
The role may involve lifting items up to 25 pounds and requires specific vision capabilities.
