Job Description:

Role Summary:

The Clinical Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of our dialysis centers, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient clinical processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage clinic operations, including staffing, budgeting, and quality standards.
  • Lead and develop direct reports, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including Human Resources, Quality, and Technical Services.
  • Oversee the Home Therapies Program and ensure compliance with all regulations and standards.
  • Maintain accurate medical and operations records, adhering to data collection and auditing requirements.
  • Accountable for completion of annual reviews and ICD coding.
  • Manage clinic finances, ensuring efficient supply utilization and regular profit/loss reviews.
  • Responsible for network reporting and on-site surveys.

Patient Care:

  • Coordinate patient care with staff members, from admission to discharge.
  • Educate patients on quality measures, transplant options, and access care.
  • Act as a resource for patients and families, addressing concerns and questions.
  • Ensure timely completion of patient care assessments and care plans.
  • Manage patient schedules, developing action plans for missed treatments.
  • Plan, coordinate, and validate patient eligibility for treatment.
  • Report changes in patient status regarding clinical, insurance, or travel issues.

Staff Management:

  • Select and hire new team members, ensuring completion of orientation and mandatory trainings.
  • Ensure licensures/certifications are current among patient care employees.
  • Provide support and encourage professional growth among clinical staff.
  • Maintain knowledge of company benefits, policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Complete employee evaluations and establish annual goals.
  • Document disciplinary actions and confer with the Director of Operations and Human Resources when necessary.
  • Manage staff scheduling and payroll.

Physician Relationships:

  • Facilitate physician privilege applications and compliance with Fresenius Medical Care Medical Staff By-Laws.
  • Develop strong relationships with physicians, ensuring regular communication.
  • Participate in Governing Body, an interdisciplinary team governing policies.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (RN).
  • Current state licensure.

Experience and Skills:

  • 12 months clinical nursing experience required.
  • 6 months chronic or acute dialysis nursing experience required.
  • Pass the Ishihara Color Blind Test successfully.

Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
