The Gagnon Group LLC is seeking a qualified individual for the role of Tax Senior Associate. This position is ideal for candidates with two to five years of relevant experience in federal and state income tax, sales and use tax, and property tax consulting and advocacy.
Key Responsibilities:- Engage in federal and state income tax, sales and use tax, and property tax outsourcing.
- Conduct audits and appeals while providing expert consulting services to a diverse range of clients, including Fortune 500 companies.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and exceptional research skills.
- Manage data effectively and embrace technological advancements in tax processes.
- Take ownership of client engagements and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain regular communication with tax authorities, clients, and team members.
Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or accounting. A CPA, LLM, or JD designation is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, and Excel) is essential. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, prioritize tasks efficiently, and demonstrate strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Some travel may be required.
