Position Overview:

Your main duty will involve the expert installation and removal of land mobile radios, emergency apparatus, and associated accessories in vehicles designated for public safety.

This encompasses activities such as the installation of surveillance systems, docking stations, speed detection devices, and other related equipment. The selected candidate will work with automotive electronics, specifically focusing on 12-volt systems.
Applicants must successfully complete a criminal background check, drug screening, and uphold a clean driving record.

Key Responsibilities:
- Disassemble and reassemble vehicle body parts and interior panels as required for installations.
- Securely mount components onto vehicles according to specifications.
- Neatly route wires and cables within vehicles for optimal organization.
- Splice wires and solder connections to various equipment and components as necessary.
- Terminate connections on radios, LED lighting, sirens, radar systems, and other electrical devices.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and replace electrical components as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all completed tasks on designated work orders.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Special Requirements:
- Technicians must provide their own personal hand tools necessary for the role.
- Willingness and ability to travel occasionally and stay overnight when required.
- Capability to pass a security clearance check for access to restricted areas.
- Must be able to lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the following areas may be advantageous:
- Automotive service
- Car audio installation
- Military background in Land Mobile Radio Communications
- Installation of home security systems (12-Volt Operation)
