Key Responsibilities

The Surgical Technologist is tasked with ensuring the readiness of sterile supplies and instruments for each surgical procedure. This role involves:

  • Maintaining a sterile environment throughout the surgical process.
  • Providing the surgeon with necessary sterile instruments and supplies during operations.
Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • A High School Diploma or Equivalent is required, along with relevant experience for new hires.
  • Completion of an Operating Room Technician training program or equivalent on-the-job training, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a surgical setting preferred.
  • Proficiency in scrubbing for both minor and major procedures across various surgical specialties, including GYN, General, and Plastics.
  • Experience in assisting with minor procedures in specialized surgical areas such as orthopedics, neurology, ENT, and urology.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association upon hire, with maintenance of certification required.
