Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesiology Specialist to join our team at University Hospitals. As a key member of our Anesthesia Care Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective administration of anesthetics to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient interviews to assess readiness for anesthesia and develop personalized anesthetic plans
  • Collaborate with patients and families to educate them about the anesthetic plan and potential risks
  • Prepare patients for anesthesia by starting necessary access lines and initiating therapies as needed
  • Assist with the induction, maintenance, and emergence phases of anesthesia, adhering to Anesthesia Care Team guidelines
  • Ensure safe patient transport to post-operative areas and facilitate a smooth transition of care to nursing staff
  • Perform ventilation functions, including intubation, as a member of the resuscitation team
Requirements
  • CRNA (RN & AANA) Ohio State Nursing Board Certificate of Authority
  • AANA Certification
