Role Summary:

The Headend Operations Specialist is primarily tasked with the upkeep, repair, and enhancement of our primary and secondary headend facilities, as well as associated infrastructure such as antennas and towers.

This role involves the reception, processing, and transmission of both analog and digital cable services, alongside high-speed internet and telephony tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will:

  • Execute all duties associated with the Broadband Specialist role.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on headend equipment, including processors, modulators, and satellite receivers.
  • Perform testing and alignment of all headend systems to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Implement design changes and service modifications as required.
  • Train and mentor junior staff as directed.
  • Maintain security protocols for all facilities and equipment.

Qualifications:

Candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in Cable Television or Telecommunications, with at least 3 years in a senior technician role.
  • A high school diploma or GED; an associate degree is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • The ability to work in various weather conditions and at different heights.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires physical stamina, including the ability to handle heavy equipment and tools.
