Job Description

We are seeking a Seasonal Animal Care Attendant to join our team at Destination Pet LLC. As a Seasonal Animal Care Attendant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and care of our furry guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent animal care and ensure the health and safety of our pet guests.
  • Sanitize and disinfect pet enclosures and general boarding areas to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals and fresh water to each pet guest.
  • Monitor and record the consumption and elimination of each pet guest, reporting any issues to the General Manager or Assistant Manager.
  • Ensure pets have clean water at all times and provide clean bedding and towels as needed.
  • Check and pick up excrement from enclosures and other areas as needed throughout the day.
  • Monitor pet belongings, clean them as needed, and return them to owners.

Requirements:

Expertise & Experience:

  • Must be a pet enthusiast with a passion for animal care.
  • Previous experience in animal care or kennel operations is preferred.
  • Displays a professional manner at all times.

Physical:

  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must frequently lift 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently.
  • Must be able to handle dogs on leashes.
  • Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander, and excretions.

Reports to: General Manager

Perks: PT Health insurance, PT mental Health, PT telehealth

Pay: $12.00/hour DOE
