We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Lifeline Home Health, a part of LHC Group. As an Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to build trusted relationships with patients, provide continuing education and tuition reimbursement opportunities, and enjoy independence and autonomy in your work.

Our Occupational Therapist will be responsible for assessing and evaluating patient care needs related to functional status, activities of daily living, fine motor coordination, home assessments, and adaptive equipment. You will work in accordance with the plan of care, using evidence-based techniques, and in coordination with other members of the healthcare team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing occupational therapy services within the scope of practice as defined by state laws governing the practice of Occupational Therapy.
  • Evaluating patient functional status, status of all body systems, and occupational therapy needs, consulting with physicians in the development of the therapy plan of care.
  • Observing, recording, and reporting patient response to treatment and changes to patient condition to the nurse supervisor and physician.
  • Conducting patient assessments evaluating the level of function by applying diagnostic and prognostic functional ability tests.

Requirements include:

  • Current Occupational Therapy licensure in the state of practice.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
