Job Summary

We are seeking a Support Services Assistant to join our team at SJRC Texas. This role will provide essential support to our staff and supervisors in delivering human services to Child Protective Services clients, including transportation and documentation of services provided.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport clients to and from appointments as requested by caseworkers and/or Unit Supervisor.
  • Travel up to 95% of the work week to conduct home visits and provide supervision of children.
  • Observe and/or supervise parent and child visits, ensuring the safety and well-being of all parties involved.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, including data entry into IMPACT and other agency systems.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of community resources and provide referrals as necessary.
  • Perform various clerical duties, such as typing, filing, faxing, copying, and answering/receiving telephone inquiries.
Requirements
  • A minimum of one year of experience in social services, clerical, secretarial, administrative support, or general office work.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Thirty semester hours from an accredited college or university accepted as substitution.
  • Valid Texas driver's license and reliable motor vehicle for travel.

This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including children, families, and agency staff.
