This part-time custodian position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the Northwest Missouri State University campus.   • Clean, stock, and sanitize areas using established practices and procedures
  • Use authorized cleaning supplies and equipment to keep the interior of the buildings looking clean and professional
  • Adhere to the company's safety policies to create a safe work environment for everyone
  • Secure and lock assigned areas
  • Assist with event set-up and tear down
  • Use and maintain assigned equipment for cleanliness and report all repairs needed
  • Assist in cleaning of spills
  • Change light bulbs throughout campus as needed
  • Observe and report the need of repairs throughout campus
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High school diploma
  • Driver's license
  • One year of related experience
  • Basic communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
Working Conditions

This position will work various hours depending on the needs of the department. The usual work schedule will be Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a half hour lunch. Some shift rotation may take place. This position is exposed to both very cold and very hot conditions. This position must demonstrate safety responsibility and the ability to wear all personal protective equipment (PPE).

Typical Physical Demands

Requires the ability to walk, stand, bend, and/or reach, as well as climb a ladder and clear snow and ice when needed. Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate standard custodial equipment.
