Job Summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Group Psychotherapy Specialist to join our team in the Intensive Outpatient Program. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide assessments and group therapy to patients, while collaborating with other clinical disciplines to ensure seamless care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate, coordinate, and provide a program of group psychotherapy to patients in the intensive outpatient program.
  • Participate in program planning and other committees to ensure integration of the group psychotherapy program into the overall programming of the Center for Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.
  • Collaborate with other clinical disciplines to plan and implement treatment plans.
  • Monitor quality assurance outcomes of the group psychotherapy program through the use of selected indicators.
  • Develop and adapt programs and treatment procedures to assigned patients based on assessed needs and the interdisciplinary treatment plan.
  • Administer appropriate assessments and contribute to the development of the interdisciplinary treatment plan.
  • Document services rendered, treatment progress, and provide an adequate basis for reimbursement of services.
  • Attend multidisciplinary treatment team conferences and communicate clinical information to physicians, nurses, and other colleagues involved in patient care.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in social work or counseling.
  • Appropriate state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Licensed Social Worker, or Licensed Independent Social Worker.
  • Two years of experience in mental health service delivery, with one year of full-time equivalent experience in leading group therapy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Working Conditions
  • Ability to sit/stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to climb stairs, pull, push, and facilitate movement of the patient.
  • Must have normal or correctable vision and hearing.
