Aya Locums is seeking a skilled Family Medicine Physician to fill a temporary locum tenens position in a primary care setting. As a locum physician, you will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, from infants to adults, in an outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Comprehensive Primary Care Services: Conduct comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations, diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses, and manage chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol.
- Order and Interpret Diagnostic Tests: Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed, including lab results and imaging studies.
- Prescribe Medications and Develop Treatment Plans: Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans for patients, taking into account their medical history, current health status, and treatment goals.
- Provide Preventative Care Services: Provide preventative care services, including immunizations, cancer screenings, and health education, to promote healthy living and prevent disease.
- Collaborate with Specialists: Collaborate with specialists when needed to ensure coordinated care for patients.
- Maintain Accurate Medical Records: Maintain accurate and complete medical records for all patients, including their medical history, treatment plans, and test results.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Degree: Must have a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Residency Training in Family Medicine: Must have completed a residency training program in family medicine accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
- Board Certification in Family Medicine: Must be board certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) or the AOA.
- Active Medical License: Must have an active and unrestricted medical license in New Mexico.
- Experience in Primary Care: Must have at least one year of experience working in a primary care setting.
