We are seeking a highly skilled Histology Technologist to join our team at Texas Health Dallas. As a Histology Technologist, you will play a critical role in the preparation and processing of histopathology specimens.
Key Responsibilities- Follow laboratory procedures for specimen collection, handling, and processing.
- Ensure specimen integrity and accuracy in preparation for histopathology testing.
- Assist in the gross room, frozen section, and test procedures.
- Prepare slides and stains for histopathology examination.
- Evaluate stains and cytology specimens.
- Collaborate with laboratory operations to ensure efficient and accurate testing.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate Degree preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Lab Science, or Chemical, Physical, or Biological Science preferred.
- One-year acceptable experience in histopathology.
- HT (ASCP) Histotechnician required within 90 days from hire.
- HTL (ASCP) Histotechnologist required within 90 days from hire.
