Syms Strategic Group, LLC (SSG) is seeking a skilled Software Developer in Test to join our team in support of a large Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) nationwide program.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented Software Developer in Test to design, develop, and execute automated tests for our clients. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an agile environment and possess comprehensive technical expertise on IT products, operating systems, software, hardware, systems, and networks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop automated test plans and procedures
  • Implement test automation strategies using Selenium and other tools
  • Develop and execute automated tests for software applications
  • Collaborate with engineering and QA teams to manage and improve the development pipeline
  • Perform and write automated functional, system, regression, and integration testing
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software/Systems Engineering, or equivalent technical degree
  • 8+ years of experience in automated software development and testing
  • Experience using at least two (2) automation tools/technologies
  • Java, C#, or Python development experience
  • Flat File Processing, API, or Backend testing experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with EDI and financial transaction systems
  • Experience testing MUMPS, VistA, and other VA systems
Security Clearance Requirements:

Must possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI) security clearance.

U.S. Citizenship is required for this specific opportunity.
