Job DescriptionIn this role as a Culinary Therapist, you will work with individuals who require support in achieving their behavioral health goals. Your primary responsibility will be to plan and prepare meals that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our clients.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with daily activities and personal care as needed.
- Implement therapeutic interventions under the supervision of licensed professionals.
- Monitor client behavior and document observations accurately.
- Facilitate group activities and discussions to promote social skills and emotional growth.
Cooking and Meal Preparation:
- Plan and prepare balanced meals that meet dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Collaborate with clients to involve them in meal planning and cooking, fostering independence and life skills.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to food safety standards.
- Ensure all meals are served in a timely manner and adjust meal plans based on feedback from clients.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and any incidents, reporting them to supervisory staff.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss client care and program development.
- Maintain accurate food safety records in accordance with city and state regulations.
Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with therapists, nurses, and other staff to ensure comprehensive care.
- Assist in training new staff or interns as needed.
