Job Summary

The University of Colorado Boulder is seeking a highly skilled Distribution Materials Handler and CDL Driver to join our team. This role is responsible for receiving and delivering materials, including hazardous materials, to support the diverse needs of the campus community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely and efficiently operate university delivery vehicles, adhering to all regulatory agency requirements for a CDL with a hazardous materials endorsement.
  • Appropriately load trucks for transport, including restraining and balancing goods and materials.
  • Document pickup and delivery of goods and materials using a handheld electronic device.
  • Plan delivery routes to ensure materials are being delivered in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with the supervisor to create and implement process improvements for routes and deliveries.
Material Handling
  • Load materials onto trucks to be delivered and unloaded at various campus locations.
  • Stage storage items for delivery using a pallet jack, forklift, and other material handling equipment.
  • Receive and sort packages, freight, and cylinders and prepare for delivery.
Inventory Transactions
  • Issue and stage for delivery goods from the DC inventory (liquid nitrogen and dry ice).
  • Fulfill liquid nitrogen dewars from the fill station and stage for transport.
  • Monitor inventory levels of liquid nitrogen and dry ice.
Requirements
  • Must be a Colorado resident to apply.
  • Must possess a valid State of Colorado commercial driver's license class B with a hazardous materials endorsement.
  • Three years of related work experience.

  • An annual salary range of $52,344 - $55,000.
