We are seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant to join our dynamic Urology practice. Key ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Performing general administrative tasks such as faxing, answering phone calls, and returning patient inquiries.
- Coordinating the scheduling of tests, treatments, and procedures.
- Assisting patients to examination and procedure rooms, including support with mobility, dressing, specimen collection, and preparation for examinations.
- Gathering patient medical histories, taking vital signs, and conducting screenings as directed by healthcare providers.
- Supporting clinical staff during procedures.
- Maintaining treatment areas to ensure they are safe, organized, and clean, with functional equipment and adequate supplies.
- Providing information and instructions to patients and their families.
- Managing physician and patient scheduling through phone assistance.
- Handling the transmission of patient medical records and information.
- Acquiring lab and x-ray reports, hospital notes, and referral details.
- Completing necessary forms and requisitions while managing patient charts for completeness.
- Conducting quality control measures.
- Promoting high standards of patient care and customer satisfaction.
- Executing additional duties as assigned.
To be considered for this position, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- A high school diploma or GED is required; some college education is preferred.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Preferred knowledge and experience in Urology, though not mandatory.
- Phlebotomy experience is required.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records is essential.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Bilingual candidates are a plus.
- This position has the potential to transition to full-time in the future.
- Part-time roles do not include employee benefits.
- A background check is mandatory.
