About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Systems Engineer to join our team at Areté. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing complex systems to meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed test plans and procedures to ensure the successful integration of system components.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, architectures, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Develop requirements, requirements traceability, systems integration & test, performance verification.
  • Conduct system integration testing to ensure compatibility and performance.
  • Document findings, generate test reports, and present results to stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot system level failures amongst a diverse team of engineers and technicians.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design new, and update existing, electro-optical system architectures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware and software components into a cohesive system.
  • Support test events at multiple test event sites.
Requirements
  • Eligible to obtain and hold a Secret clearance.
  • 5+ years of experience with a BS/BA in Systems, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience with a MS/MA in Systems, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 0+ years of experience with a PhD in Systems, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with high bandwidth data protocols.
  • Experience with electronics, optical, and software integration.
  • Jama for Requirements and Test Management.
  • Ability to write scripts for test automation and data analysis.
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools like Agile, Scrum.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations, such as MIL-STD, MIL-HDBK, ISO, ASME.
What We Offer

Areté offers a competitive salary range of $105,000 to $130,000, depending on experience and qualifications. We also offer a range of benefits, including generous PTO and leave times, flexible scheduling, and a comprehensive benefits package.
