Job Summary

As a Cardiovascular Care Specialist, you will perform various duties such as circulator, scrub, or monitor on the Cath Lab procedure team. You will also utilize critical judgment to analyze patient assessment and administer medications to patients, including critically ill patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Critical Patient Care: Provide care to critically ill patients, utilizing critical judgment to analyze patient assessment and administer medications as needed.
  • Procedure Support: Assist with procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab, performing tasks such as preparing patients, administering medications, and monitoring patient vital signs.
  • Documentation and Communication: Accurately document patient information and communicate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and families on assessed needs, documenting education provided and keeping them informed of tests and treatments.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or equivalent education for licensure.
  • Licensure: Current RN licensure in the state where working (Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Wisconsin).
  • Certifications: BLS HCP certification from American Heart Association (AHA) and ALS/PALS certifications from AHA (varies by location).
Work Environment

This position requires constant standing and walking, frequent lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs, and occasional lifting/moving patients. The work environment is fast-paced and may involve exposure to bodily fluids, chemicals, and other hazards.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000, depending on experience and qualifications. SSM Health offers a comprehensive benefits package, including paid parental leave, flexible payment options, and upfront tuition coverage.
