Job Title: DevOps Engineer

V2 Innovations is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining efficient and automated application deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for streamlined application deployment.
  • Manage containerized applications using AKS and leverage Helm for efficient package management.
  • Implement Canary deployment strategies to ensure controlled rollouts of new features and updates.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the software delivery lifecycle.
  • Configure Open Policy Agent (OPA) for policy-based governance and access control.
  • Set up and manage Istio for service mesh functionality, including traffic management and observability.
  • Utilize Kibana and FluentD for log analysis and visualization.
  • Implement automated canary analysis and testing using Kayenta/Spinnaker.
  • Configure OpenTelemetry for observability and utilize Azure Monitor for monitoring and alerting.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure, application, and deployment issues using scripting skills.
  • Implement automated testing frameworks to ensure software quality and reliability.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and technologies related to DevOps, cloud computing, and containerization.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
  • Proficiency in containerization technologies such as AKS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with Canary deployment strategies and Helm package management.
  • Knowledge of OPA implementation and integration with Istio.
  • Understanding of Istio and service mesh concepts.
  • Familiarity with log aggregation and visualization tools like Kibana and FluentD.
  • Experience with automated canary analysis using Kayenta.
  • Proficiency in observability and monitoring tools like OpenTelemetry and Azure Monitor.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).
  • Cloud platform experience, preferably with Azure.
  • Solid grasp of software development practices and agile methodologies.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
  • Experience working in regulated environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Relevant certifications in Azure, Kubernetes, or DevOps.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and technologies.
  • Previous experience in similar DevOps roles.
