Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Rehabilitation Therapy Technician IV to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing habilitative and rehabilitative therapy services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist therapists in the development and implementation of treatment plans for assigned therapeutic specialties.
  • Provide direct contact instruction and training to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities on their treatment plans.
  • Train staff to ensure continuity of treatment plans and maintain accurate records.
  • Monitor the implementation of program objectives and gather data to report to the interdisciplinary team.
  • Participate in the interdisciplinary team process and provide feedback on individual progress.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge and skills in relevant therapeutic techniques, such as applied behavior analysis and sensory integration.
  • Ability to train staff in treatment methods and related areas.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others.
Working Conditions:

This position may require driving a state-owned vehicle and working in a fast-paced environment with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
