Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Public Safety Investigator to join our team. As a Public Safety Investigator, you will be responsible for conducting thorough and impartial investigations into security incidents and allegations of policy/law violations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct investigations into security incidents and allegations of policy/law violations, gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses as needed.
  • Prepare detailed reports of investigation findings, including recommendations for corrective action.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement partners to ensure effective communication and coordination of investigations.
  • Provide training and guidance to security personnel on investigative techniques and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of laws, regulations, and policies related to security and investigations.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in security or law enforcement, with a minimum of 2 years of investigative experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Active Georgia Peace Officer Standards & Training (P.O.S.T.) certification preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Healthcare Security Supervisor (IAHSS) and Certified Advanced Healthcare Security Officer (IAHSS) certifications.
  • Professional Certified Investigator (ASIS) certification.
  • Experience with computerized security systems, concealed weapons screening systems, and CCTV monitoring equipment.
Working Conditions

The Public Safety Investigator will work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure to meet deadlines and resolve complex security incidents. The position requires the ability to work independently and to prioritize tasks effectively.
