Genie Healthcare is seeking a skilled Travel Sonographer to join their team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining medical imaging equipment, preparing patients for exams, and producing high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain medical imaging equipment, including ultrasound machines and other diagnostic devices.
- Prepare patients for exams by explaining procedures, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes, using your expertise to optimize image quality and minimize artifacts.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical imaging technologies and techniques, attending training sessions and workshops as needed.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
- Current certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist or Sonographer.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
