Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at West Hills Health and Rehab. As a key member of our long-term care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and assistance to residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with ambulation and transfer of residents, utilizing proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
  • Record vital signs, weights, and measurements, as well as intake and output, food consumption, and other relevant information.
  • Turn and position residents regularly to prevent pressure ulcers and promote comfort.
  • Observe residents carefully and report any changes in condition to the Charge Nurse.
  • Support residents in making choices and promoting independence within the caregiving environment.
  • Participate in collecting data for the Minimum Data Set (MDS) and plan of care, providing input to nurses for development of the plan.
  • Prepare residents for meals and transport them to the dining room, ensuring accessibility and assistance as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of food intake and output, as directed.
  • Adhere to established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.
  • Assist nursing staff with aseptic and sterile techniques to prevent infection and contamination.
  • Be alert to proper ventilation, temperature, light, and noise control.
Requirements
  • Current Nursing Assistant Certification from the state.
  • Maintain CPR Certification.
  • High School Graduate or GED.
