Position Overview:

HITT is on the lookout for a dedicated and service-focused Futures Program Associate to enhance the Human Resources team at our Headquarters. The HITT Futures Program, which began as a management training initiative, has transformed over the years into a comprehensive educational journey that has empowered numerous candidates to acquire the foundational experience necessary for advancing their careers in the construction industry. This position serves as a vital initial support system for all Futures Program participants, ranging from seasonal interns to newly promoted assistant-level managers. The role is pivotal in ensuring that participants comprehend HITT's policies and procedures, their job roles and training obligations, and have access to essential tools and resources to guarantee their success, engagement, and productivity.

The ideal candidate will possess empathy and a strong commitment to enhancing the overall employee experience while embracing the principles of learning and development. They should be resourceful, quick to adapt, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously. This role demands exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, along with a talent for crafting meaningful experiences. The Futures Program Associate will report to the HITT Futures Program Manager and collaborate closely with our Recruiting, HR Business Partner, and Engagement teams to deliver a premier program experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary support contact for Futures Program participants, addressing initial inquiries and escalating more complex issues to relevant experts as needed.
  • Ensure that new Futures team members receive essential information about the program, creating a positive first impression.
  • Collect feedback at critical milestones in the new hire experience, such as post-orientation and anniversary touchpoints, and collaborate with the HR Business Partner team to identify trends and propose enhancements to their experience.
  • Facilitate various tasks and activities to successfully manage HITT's summer internship program and limited high school externship opportunities.
  • Coordinate the selection, training, and ongoing communication with superintendents who mentor and train Futures Program participants.
  • Assess the progress of all Futures team members to ensure they are advancing as expected and identify opportunities for additional support or resources to enhance their experience.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Development team to support learning and development initiatives, ensuring Futures team members are well-equipped for success in their roles.
  • Provide assistance during peak recruiting periods, including coordinating panel interviews and career fair events.
  • Offer coordination support to the Team Member Engagement team for significant Futures events, such as team outings, networking activities, service projects, and appreciation initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, Human Resources, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a corporate environment is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively is required.
  • Proficiency in Spanish, both spoken and written, is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Workday is advantageous.
  • Experience in orientation facilitation, onboarding, shared services, or events management is desirable.
  • Critical thinking skills and a commitment to excellence, even in the smallest tasks, are essential.
