Key Responsibilities
  • Consumer Focus: Provide individualized support to consumers, promoting their autonomy and independence.
  • Assist and Support: Assist consumers in developing strategies, making informed choices, and following through on responsibilities.
  • Promote Consumer Partnership: Encourage and assist consumers to speak on their own behalf, promoting their rights and interests.
  • Safeguard Confidentiality: Maintain the confidentiality and privacy of individuals supported.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A high school diploma or demonstrated equivalent competency, with experience working with persons with disabilities in the community preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent people and communication skills, ability to work flexible/non-standard hours, and valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of community and community activities, ability to keep accurate documentation, and ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds.
