Job Summary

As a Medical Assistant at Florida Medical Clinic, you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare team. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting providers, managing clinical functions, and ensuring the smooth operation of our department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Completes start-of-day processes, including powering up equipment and logging on to workstations
  • Prepares exam rooms and ensures they are stocked with medical supplies and equipment
  • Takes and records vitals, confirms patient information, and updates IEHR
  • Assists providers during examinations and treatments, performs diagnostic studies and treatments as ordered, and enters charges for services rendered
  • Handles patient calls, returns messages, and notifies patients of test results and instructions from providers
  • Organizes and maintains sample and supply closets, and assists with completion of forms requested by patients
Requirements
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent
  • Strong customer service orientation and basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to stand or walk for long periods, use proper body mechanics, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • High risk exposure to bloodborne pathogens and chemical hazards
