Machinist Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Machinist to join our team at Prescott Metal. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our CNC milling machines, ensuring high-quality products are produced efficiently and effectively.

• Machine Operation: Program, set up, and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision parts and components.
• Maintenance and Safety: Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent accidents.
• Quality Control: Inspect and measure workpieces to ensure quality and repeatability, and make adjustments as needed.
• Tooling and Inventory Management: Select, position, and align tooling in machine tool holders, and maintain tooling inventory, including consumables and material storage.
• Communication and Teamwork: Collaborate with production team members to ensure smooth production processes, and notify supervisors of any issues or concerns.

• Education: High school or technical school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 3-5 years of prior Machinist experience.
• Skills: Ability to interpret Job Travelers (work orders), understand Bill of Materials (BOM), and identify material types and gauges.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with CNC milling machines, Proto Trak, G code, Hurco CNC/Mill, and Water Jetting.
