Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse II to join our Labor and Delivery team at Sutter Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, education, and support to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, coordinate, and evaluate patient care, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care in an acute patient setting.
  • Develop, implement, and coordinate a plan of care that incorporates psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors.
  • Foster and maintain collaborative relationships between patients, their family/support group, physicians, and other healthcare providers through timely and effective communications.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws and regulations to promote an optimal patient experience.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Current RN licensure in California
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification within 30 days of hire
  • NRP certification within 30 days of hire
  • 2 years of recent relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated general knowledge and competence with regard to nursing theories, concepts, and practices
  • Working knowledge of the healthcare industry, safety precaution policies, best practices regarding patient care and privacy, and changes in local/state/federal regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Basic knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite
