We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Department Nurse to join our team at Samaritan Medical Center. As a key member of our emergency department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to emergency department patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and guidelines in emergency nursing.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Minimum of one year of acute care nursing experience.
- Current NYS RN license.
- BLS and ACLS certification.
- PALS certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
- Ability to identify and intervene in life-threatening situations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate.
- Critical care and charge experience.
- Experience working in emergency departments or behavioral health units.
This is a full-time position working 7p-7a shifts in our emergency department. You will be required to work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care.
