Job Summary:The Graduate Nurse Residency Program is a comprehensive training program designed to support new RN graduates in their transition to professional nursing practice. This program offers a unique opportunity for nurses to develop their skills and knowledge in a supportive and challenging environment.
Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality patient care to patients with cardiac critical care diagnoses and post-operative cardiac surgery patients.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to a culture of safety and quality improvement within the CVICU.
- Graduate Nurse with a Temporary Practice Permit or currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse by the State of employment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification prior to end of orientation period.
