Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Sentara CarePlex Hospital. As a key member of the healthcare team, the RN will assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop individualized care plans to address these needs.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients' responses to these interventions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote health and wellness.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in nursing or higher from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
