Program Overview

Role Summary

As a Lead Employment Specialist, you will play a crucial role in establishing and nurturing a network of employers to facilitate job opportunities for our clients. Your primary focus will be to coordinate interviews that align with the employment strategies crafted by HELP USA's interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct outreach through phone calls and site visits to potential employers to create partnerships and generate job openings suitable for HELP USA clients.
  • Maintain an up-to-date database of employers and available job positions for clients seeking employment.
  • Evaluate clients' qualifications and experiences to ensure they align with job requirements, providing guidance and coaching prior to interviews.
  • Organize and lead workshops aimed at preparing clients for job interviews and assisting them in completing job applications.
  • Act as a liaison with various employment, vocational, and educational training programs, as well as government agencies, while building a network of resources for training and placement.
  • Oversee and support junior job developers at your location.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Bachelor's degree in human services or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience in job development and placement.
  • Strong understanding of labor market dynamics across various industries.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office.
  • Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish) are advantageous.
