About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our team at UVA Health Northern VA & Culpeper. As a key member of our anesthesia department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and set up equipment and supplies for each surgical case, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for our patients and staff.
  • Collaborate with our leadership team and UCIC to identify and resolve unit issues, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a clean and safe anesthesia workroom, adhering to strict standards of cleanliness and infection control.
  • Restock and clean all anesthesia carts and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order and ready for use.
  • Inventory and order supplies as needed, ensuring we have the necessary resources to support our surgical procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of our team.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 5 years of experience preferred, with a strong background in medical equipment and surgical support.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care.
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs. occasionally, with the use of Safe Handling Equipment as needed.
