Job Summary

Leonardo DRS is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the analysis, design, development, and implementation of new and existing systems/sub-systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Involved in the analysis, design, development, and implementation of new and existing systems/sub-systems.
  • Determine system specifications and support the acquisition of hardware and software.
  • Responsible for technical activity and completion of assigned tasks on time and budget.
  • Design, develop, analyze, document, and support testing of products, systems, or subsystems.
  • May use computer-aided engineering or other design/analysis software in the performance of assignments.
  • Report progress and status regularly.
  • Review customer specifications and requirements and develop designs to best support them.
  • Provide budget, cost, and schedule input for design assignments.
  • Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems, and services.
  • Support the program design to cost and design for manufacture requirements.
  • Develop prototypes to retire key development risks.
  • Communicate clearly with other company personnel and the customer as required.
  • Participates in the preparation of less-complex proposals.
  • May provide technical knowledge and assistance to other engineers and support personnel.
  • Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization.
  • Attend appropriate engineering, customer, or business meetings.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Competent technical expertise and application domain knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently.

This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
