Position Overview:- Collaborates with the Medical Director to establish, execute, and assess annual infection prevention objectives and strategies.
- Manages the implementation of infection control and associated safety initiatives.
- Responsible for monitoring healthcare-associated and community-acquired infections.
- Directs the facility's hygiene program to enhance workplace conditions related to infection control.
- Engages in national quality improvement collaborations.
- Ensures proper intervention and education for staff when infection control challenges arise.
- Stays informed about regulations and guarantees adherence to infection control protocols.
- Current LVN or RN license in California is required.
- Infection Preventionist Certification is mandatory.
- At least 1 year of experience in a long-term healthcare environment.
- Training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing techniques.
- Comprehensive understanding of nursing methodologies, medical practices, and regulatory standards.
