Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Automation Systems Specialist to join our team at Next Level Group in Rochester, New York.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge and expertise in industrial automation and controls.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting various automation systems, including PLCs, robotic controls, and instrumentation systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a resource for the facility, collaborating with operators, engineers, and external consultants on maintenance issues and projects.
  • Troubleshoot and train users on automation systems, including PLCs, robotic controls, automated equipment, and instrumentation systems.
  • Adapt existing programs to meet user needs, including databases and PLC software.
  • Deliver quality products and services while following safety and quality control procedures.
  • Manage capital and expense projects as needed.
  • Perform other related tasks as required.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must have:

  • An associate's degree or equivalent in mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation technology preferred.
  • Minimum three years of experience in industrial controls; familiarity with analog/digital instrument control and automated machinery.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; conflict resolution; project and time management expertise.
  • Self-motivated, hands-on, and able to build professional trust within a team.

$65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include flexible working hours, ability to respond to urgent situations outside normal hours, and opportunities for career growth and development.
