Role Summary and Requirements

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

This role involves daily patient interaction and support. You will facilitate the efficient flow of patients in the office and assist in delivering care under physician supervision. This position does not require formal licensing or certification.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct timely procedures to assist in patient evaluation and treatment by the attending physician.
    Transcribe dictated notes with an expected output of at least 138 lines per hour.
  • Manage and transcribe urgent requests as needed, ensuring quality control for all exams performed.
    Maintain patient comfort and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment, following infection control policies and procedures.
  • Assist with patient follow-ups and care coordination.
  • Prepare examination rooms with necessary equipment and educational materials.
  • Help manage supply expenses within budget.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

EDUCATION:
No formal education requirements.

EXPERIENCE:
1-3 years of experience in a medical office setting is preferred, with transcription experience being an advantage.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to perform job duties efficiently and accurately.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills to foster teamwork.
  • Capability to work independently and take responsibility for professional growth.
