Postdoctoral Researcher

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is a leader in providing high-quality healthcare services encompassing primary care, specialized medicine, and research. We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scientist to join the team of Principal Investigator, Peter Chen, MD.

The Chen laboratory studies lung biology research utilizing cell lines, small animals, and human specimens. The primary focuses are acute and chronic lung injuries. As a Postdoctoral Scientist, you will be expected to work independently but in close cooperation with the Principal Investigator and other research staff and scientists.

Your primary duties and responsibilities will include designing and performing experiments, maintaining experimental records, analyzing results, and operating and maintaining equipment and instruments. You will also be responsible for acquiring complete technical and theoretical knowledge of research projects and objectives during your post-doctoral appointment.

To be successful in this role, you should have a PhD or highest degree in your field and demonstrated aptitude to perform experimental procedures, including detailed data collection and analysis. You should also have knowledge of safety standards and be able to lift, stand, and walk.
