Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Leasing Associate to join our team at The Cordish Companies. As a key member of our leasing team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to attract and retain tenants, as well as managing the leasing process from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Vice President of Leasing and senior executives to develop and execute leasing strategies.
  • Target and contact new tenant prospects through coordinated efforts.
  • Prepare for and conduct property tours to showcase our properties to potential tenants.
  • Interface with the brokerage community to provide information on space availability.
  • Draft letters of intent and other lease proposals to secure new tenants.
  • Manage broker commission agreements and payment schedules to ensure seamless transactions.
  • Develop and maintain contact lists using various search engines and databases.
  • Manage an organized portfolio of site plans, lease exhibits, and other critical documents.
  • Update listings on external marketing databases to ensure accurate information.
  • Partner with the legal department to draft and negotiate leases.
  • Collaborate with the construction department to establish scopes of work and budgets for tenant improvements.
  • Oversee the landlord build-out and tenant build-out process to ensure timely completion.
  • Work with the marketing department to develop leasing campaign strategies and tactics.
  • Maintain key documentation related to lease expirations, vacancies, and marketing packages.
  • Effectively resolve company challenges and issues in a timely manner.
  • Lead with the highest level of integrity and accountability in all business dealings.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of leasing industry experience, preferably in commercial real estate development.
  • Exceptional organizational, leadership, and analytical skills with a proven ability to deliver superior financial performance.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field, with an MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Ability to travel to our Mid-Atlantic portfolio, with the position based in Baltimore.
