We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Truck Operations Specialist to join our team at Midwest Machinery. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for transporting equipment to and from customers and dealer facilities, while ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Transportation and Delivery: Safely transport equipment to and from customers and dealer facilities, adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies.
- Customer Support: Provide excellent customer service, including instructing customers on basic equipment operating procedures as needed.
- Logistics and Administration: Maintain accurate records of pickups and deliveries, obtain necessary signatures and receipts, and ensure all required certifications are up to date.
- Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain assigned trucks and related equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the sales department to support equipment delivery as needed and actively assist in recruiting service work.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, with at least 1 year of experience as a semi-trailer truck operator.
- Skills and Knowledge: Ability to use a forklift/skid loader, valid CDL driver's license with an insurable driving record, and ability to lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly.
- Physical and Mental Demands: Frequent bending and stooping, sitting/driving for extended periods, and climbing/using ladders.
