About the Role

As a Software Engineering Manager at Google, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers to develop and deploy large-scale software projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement technical solutions that meet the company's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and oversight to a team of engineers to ensure the successful development and deployment of software projects.
  • Project Management: Set and communicate project priorities, align strategy and processes, and meet regularly with team members to discuss performance and development.
  • Team Development: Develop the mid-term technical vision and roadmap for the team, and evolve the roadmap to meet anticipated future requirements and infrastructure needs.
  • Code Review: Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience: 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field, and 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
