Position Overview:

  • Compounding medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
  • Providing assistance with various pharmacy operations
  • Inputting new prescriptions and refills into the pharmacy management system for pharmacist assessment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and confirming written prescriptions or refill requests for correctness
  • Preparing pharmaceutical compounds according to written directives
  • Ensuring proper storage conditions and safeguarding medications
  • Creating and updating patient medication records
  • Responding to phone inquiries from patients regarding their prescriptions
  • Helping customers at the pharmacy with questions and locating products
  • Labeling and organizing filled prescriptions
  • Receiving and organizing incoming pharmacy stock
  • Checking invoices and quantities of received items
  • Monitoring medication inventory and managing the disposal of expired products
  • Working closely with purchasing agents to ensure adequate medication supply levels

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: 1-2 years in a related role or vocational training
