Position Overview

Under the guidance of the Quality Engineering / Technical Lead, the Quality Assurance Inspector plays a crucial role in the evaluation and testing of processes and products to uphold quality standards. Utilizing various inspection tools, methodologies, and products, the QA Inspector ensures adherence to established procedures and documentation, thereby maintaining compliance with ISO and customer requirements in alignment with the company's quality policy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify dimensional precision and conformity against documented specifications during initial piece, in-process, finished goods, receiving, and external process inspections.
  • Employ a range of precision measurement instruments and gaging tools, including comparators, micrometers, calipers, hard gauges, GO/NO GO gauges, CMM, profilometer, Roncom, MicroVu, and Oasis.
  • Maintain thorough inspection records and certificates in accordance with Quality Management System protocols.
  • Conduct part layout for PPAP, FAI/ISIR, and other customer inquiries.
  • Analyze selected processes and document findings.
  • Identify defective materials and initiate reports on defective findings.
  • Assist in the segregation of defective materials.
  • Support the training of production staff on quality system protocols, gauge maintenance, and calibration procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma and/or G.E.D. with a minimum of 1 year of experience in quality assurance.
  • General understanding of manufacturing and quality assurance processes.
  • Strong mechanical and mathematical skills.
  • Proficient in data entry and computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
